An Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) is an exam performed to assess the electrical activity of your heart. It is a common quick test done to detect some heart problems. We are able to perform ECG in all of our offices. Providers will discuss the results of the ECG with the patient immediately after it is performed.
An ECG may be done as part of a routine physical exam in patients with any heart history (such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia), or in patients presenting with certain symptoms.
