Pap smear is a screening exam performed in women ages 40+ to test for cervical cancer. It is routinely done in preventive screening and physicals as the early detection of cervical cancer allows a much better chance of cure.
All clinics are able to perform PAP smear. It is included for women in the Gold and Diamond packages.
If PAP smear yields abnormal results, the healthcare provider will discuss the significance and give a referral to gynecology.
